Wandlebury Country Park Company Information
General information
Wandlebury Park - Cambridge's original Country Park, sits on top of the Magog Hills, just south of Cambridge. The Park, owned and cared for by Cambridge Past, Present and Future offers more than eight miles of wonderful walks through mature woodland and wildflower meadows grazed by Highland Cattle with views as far as Ely.
Part of the park is on the remains of a circular historic Iron Age Hillfort – a Scheduled Ancient Monument steeped in myth and legend. Children love to run round the circular ring ditch.
There is always something to do at Wandlebury. It is a beautiful setting for a picnic or a BBQ, to watch wildlife, build a den, have a gentle stroll or a strenuous hike. Take part in events and activities for all ages (including our award winning education programme) and learn about the site’s fascinating Iron Age history and the Godolphin Arabian horses.
Visit Wandlebury and you’ll understand why the site was given a prestigious Green Flag Award – recognising it as one of the best green spaces to visit in the country.
Other properties we own and look after are Coton Countryside Reserve, The Leper Chapel in Newmarket Road, Hinxton Watermill and Bourn Mill. Details can be found on our website.
