The Loch Ness Ferry Company Ltd. is a wholly owned and run family business. We are a Scottish company with our registered office in Inverness, the ‘capital’ of the Scottish Highlands. The Company was formed in April 1994 operating ferry and passenger services on Loch Ness in the heart of the Highlands. Our vessels ‘Catriona’ and ‘Keats’ were based at the Fort Augustus Benedictine Abbey on the breathtakingly beautiful shores of Loch Ness.

These services were developed in to a successful business carrying people from around the world who, with a quickening of the pulse, set off over the legendary waters.Sadly the community of monks was dissolved in 1999 and the Abbey closed and as a consequence we lost our base and harbour. It was from these very grounds in 1972 that Father Gregory Brusey saw the head and neck rise out of the water and like the legendary beastie we have risen again with our outdoor clothing business!

Our lifelong love of mountains, lochs and walking took us to the Highlands in the first place. Now we are immensely pleased that through our outdoor clothing business we can help you enjoy the great outdoors in what we believe to be the best value quality clothing available. Having walked the mountains of Scotland in all weathers and sailed Loch Ness we know more than most about staying warm and dry when it's cold and wet and also staying comfortable when at high activity levels and the sun is shining. We know how important having the right technical clothing can be for both safety and comfort.

With these demanding needs in mind we are proud to be able to offer ranges from Keela also a Scottish company, from Helly Hansen a Scandinavian Company known around the world, from Montane a quality British supplier and from Trekmates a Nottingham based company. We very carefully selected these suppliers as being ones whom we believe are able to offer you the very latest high quality outdoor wear that looks good, does the job, and offers you very good value for money. Our ranges cover from base layers to outer jackets and to help you make your selections we have included their technical qualities in our brochure pages. So whatever your lifestyle, we have premium outdoor clothing for you whether walking the hills, rambling, or simply out walking the dog, and given our heritage, marine wear as well.

To enable you to make the best possible selections, in our Brochure section we are pleased to provide you with the technical information on all our products. The range of items we sell has been carefully selected to offer you whatever you need from warm and dry base layers through to outer jackets for land and marine use.

We have ourselves worn many of the products we sell and, if you would like, we can even offer advice via e-mail if necessary. Furthermore, if you are aware of any garment made by one of our suppliers but not stocked by us, if you let us know and it is still available, we will make every effort to locate one for you.
