General information
The King Edward’s Consortium is a well-established group of 23 excellent schools in the Birmingham area.
The schools have worked together very successfully since 2004 to recruit and train able graduates for a career in teaching. We are rated number one of all secondary Initial Teacher Training providers for School Direct and School Direct (salaried) in the country in The Good Teacher Training Guide 2015. This is because we recruit very well-qualified graduates to train with us and because employment rates are very high (100% of trainees from our last cohort entered teaching employment in September 2016). In addition, new teachers who have trained with us rate their training very highly indeed in the annual National College for Teaching & Leadership survey. We were graded outstanding by Ofsted in our November 2012 inspection.
We always aim to recruit trainees who have the potential to become outstanding teachers – and future leaders – in one of our Consortium schools.
