Heating, fuel, power, bath towels, kitchen towels and bed linen are included in your stay

Enclosed private yard with garden furniture, ideal to relax in, have a meal in and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Within easy walking distance, there is a lovely friendly pub, which serves food and supermarkets are handy for food.

Available for a minimum of two nights, weekend breaks and on a weekly basis, to explore all the North East has to offer Durham, Northumberland, Newcastle, Gateshead and Sunderland.

Beamish Open Air Museum is 4miles away, is a world famous museum telling the story of the people of North East England during the Georgian, Victorian, and Edwardian periods. It is a fascinating place and fun for all ages.

Durham city with its Cathedral and Castle is a World Heritage site and only 12 miles away.

Newcastle/ Gateshead (10 miles), Sunderland (18 miles) and the Metro Centre ( 6 miles) is close for retail therapy, bars, restaurants, 3D cinema and amusements.

Tanfield Steam railway, the world's oldest railway (2 miles away)

Ideal location for visit to Durham international cricket ground (9 miles )

Durham Dales offers moor, hills, valleys and meandering rivers ideal for walkers.

Venture into Northumberland from the cottage to explore Hadrian's wall and the beautiful Lindisfarne island.

Good access to Derwent walk for walking and cycling.

Coast to Coast cycle way is nearby (1 mile)

Hamsterley Forest is a magnet for mountain bikers, with its specially designed skills loop, downhill mountain bike courses, and offers a thrill a minute for single track riders. And for the peace and tranquillity of the water, head to one of Durham's many reservoirs or riverside routes.
