Adventures Offshore

General information

Adventures Offshore is a sail training charity based on the UK east coast and offering a wide range of offshore sailing adventures to young people and adults. We believe that offshore sailing provides the perfect environment for young people to "learn by doing" and the development of team working and other important life-skills.

We are part of the Scout movement, but crews from all walks of life are welcome to sail with us - as well as Scout troops, Explorer units and Scout Networks, other regular users include schools, youth groups, cadets, adult groups, DofE Award groups, etc.

Our two 49 foot Oyster ketches are available for weekend bookings throughout the season (April-October), whilst a longer bank holiday weekend provides the opportunity to go further afield - perhaps to a French or Belgian harbour.

For the really adventurous, our summer series of longer trips provides the ultimate adventure of undertaking a longer passage to a foreign country. Our summer programme is normally bulit around the Tall Ships Races - a massive international youth-sailing event that provides further opportunities for adventure, exploring foreign waters and forming international friendships.

Evening sails are also available for local groups, which provide a brief taster of what we can offer.
