General information
Derian House is a purpose built children’s hospice with nine beds for children and young people up to the age of 18 years, and a newly completed four bed extension, Derian Lodge, which is for young adults aged 16 – 25.
At Derian House we offer professional care, practical help and emotional support to the whole family. Whether in the hospice through short planned stays, or in the family home with the backing and encouragement of our Hospice at Home Team, the support we provide is driven entirely by the family’s needs and wishes.
We are currently supporting more than 250 families of children with a life limiting illness, and a further 200 families who are receiving bereavement support. For them, Derian House is a lifeline in helping them cope with the highs and lows of their child’s illness, and its aftermath.
