General information
MhIST is a mental health charity that was established in 1992 by Ray Whittam, Aileen Holt and Flo Standish with the proviso of providing an advocacy service for the people of Bolton who experience mental health
problems.
Since then MhIST has grown and now offers Talking Therapies, advocacy, and self help groups.
MhIST’s mission is to provide a friendly, safe and
positive environment for people with mental health
problems.
MhIST’s vision is a world where people with mental health problems are accepted and
empowered to improve their quality of life.
