General information

There is something incredibly theraputic about paper cutting. You take a simple sheet of paper, and go at it with a knife, you destroy it, cut holes in it, take out your stress and aggression out on it, and when you're done, something beautiful is sat in front of you. People often comment on how much patience I must have, and if I'm entirely honest, I have very little. Papercutting isn't about patience for me, its about stamina. Once the design work is over, the process is meticulous but monotonous. Every painstaking second of it is worth it when you come out with something that can put a smile on your face. Its even more worth it when it puts a smile on other peoples faces :D

Art and craft is well and truly in my blood. My Grandma painted, my mum can probably do every craft you can conceivably imagine, as well as paint and draw, and I've been taught by them since being very young. I've tried all sorts of different things but the one thing thats really stuck is paper cutting. The challenge of creating a piece that all links together, but still get your message across, destroying a piece of paper only to turn it into something beautiful in the end... Its unbelievably theraputic. I draw and cut everything by hand, tried the machine route, don't like it. (I still have it available as I use it to produce wedding invites, cut outs, favour boxes, place cards etc, but I much prefer to work by hand) I can currently work upto A1 in size, and I'm happy to take commissions up to this size too.

I love a challenge, I love being kept busy and I love to try new things.
