General information
We are a small boutique hotel with only 4 rooms, in the heart of Boscombe, just a short 5 minute walk from the cliff-top above 7 miles of sandy beaches. The property was built in 1891, on a plot land previously belonging to Mary Shelley, for which, we are lucky enough to have some of the original title deeds.
Formerly run as the Calcot Hotel for at least 25 years until 2007, when it was sold and converted to a residential property. We bought the property in 2013 and have spent the last two and a half years renovating (from top to bottom) to somewhere near its former glory.
Our aim is to provide a slice of home, with our spacious rooms that all maintain the traditional high ceilings and many original features.
