Our menus change seasonally to offer you the very best, fresh ingredients. And when it comes to refreshment, our fridges are fully stocked with plenty to choose from, including countryside ciders, cask ales, prosecco and carefully selected wines.

This beautiful thatched-roof pub gets its unusual name from a local legend known as the ‘cunning man’ who was thought to be a good wizard that protected people from dark spirits. The original building has been impressively restored in its original countryside style following repeated flooding.

After a bite to eat with us, why not make a day of it and discover what’s beyond our walls, including the Kennet and Avon towpath – the perfect place to watch the narrow boats passing by.
