General information

If you're tired of squeezing past bikes in the hallway, or don't cycle because your bike is locked in the garden shed and takes half an hour to extract from the shovels and cobwebs, then a BikeZebo might help!

Designed to have the instant grab factor, so you can get straight on your bike with a dry saddle. The roof lifts up smoothly and safely on gas-springs, can be raised hands-free, and is low enough when closed that it doesn't obscure the view from your front room or block out the light.

The stands to lock the bikes to are made from heavy 4mm thick steel tubing, so your bike is as secure as your D-lock.

Why isn't it fully enclosed? Won' the bike rust?
Actually a bike is more likely to suffer corrosion if it's in a shed, which tends to remain quite damp in the winter, as there's little air flow, whereas the under the BikeZebo the wind can blow dry any moisture from sideways rain or splashes.

Isn't a shed more secure?
A good way of getting your bikes stolen is putting them in a garden shed, all it takes is a crow-bar to break the lock and the bikes are gone, unless that is you've gone to the expense of concreting steel floor anchors into your shed. Also once a thief is inside a shed he can't be seen, and the noise of a battery powered angle grinder cutting through a lock wouldn't necessarily attract attention. Keeping bikes locked up visibly in front of the house makes it very hard for a thief to operate power tools, and these days a high quality D-lock can only be broken with power tools.

If you have more than one bike, then the small wooden bike sheds become very inconvenient, if your bike's at the back you have to unlock the shed, then unlock both bikes, get both bikes out, put the other bike back and lock it then lock the shed. Ok if you're short of annoying things to do in the day!

Available in different widths depending on the width of your front yard, a two-bike shelter will fit into a space as little as 1.2m wide between the window/bay window frame and the front wall.

We make a Steel and Larch version, and an all-steel version. Larch is a semi-durable timber which lasts many years. Various roof coverings are available.

The shelters come in a few pre-assembled parts you bolt together in situ, and they have four legs which sit into 30cm deep holes in the ground that you then set in with 'postfix' concrete. Installation takes a couple of hours, longer if your yard is concrete, which you will have to drill through.
