About me:
My name is Tom and I'm the head vet at Bishopston Vets4Pets. I grew up on a smallholding in Shropshire so animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've been qualified since 2005 and have been a small animal vet ever since. I've lived in Bristol since 2000, bar a couple of years, and I love it here. I have a wide range of experience and have worked in a variety of practices from the smallest surgeries to very big hospitals. For the first 4 years after qualifying I worked in first opinion practice, and for the last couple of years I've been working nights as an emergency vet, so I have had to deal with the whole spectrum of illnesses that we see in animals. I have an interest in surgery, emergency medicine and diagnostic imaging (xrays and ultrasound).

I'm very excited about opening my own vet practice, it's something that I've always wanted to do and teaming up with VetsPets has made this a reality. We hope that as a small practice we will be able to provide a personal touch to our service. We believe in case continuity and the importance of seeing the same vet with your pet, especially when they are ill, something which is lost sometimes in bigger practices.

We have the latest gadgets and gizmos to provide the best healthcare for your pets. These include a great ultrasound machine and new digital xray system. We also have a dedicated ops theatre, lab and pharmacy. I believe in providing the highest quality of care for your pets and will always try and discuss the options available to you in treating your pet when they are ill.
