Books for Amnesty Bristol is one of a chain of bookshops around the UK selling secondhand books, music and Amnesty trading goods and cards, to raise funds for human rights organisation Amnesty International UK.
Books for Amnesty Bristol opened nearly 20 years ago and since then, thanks to the hard work of an enthusiastic team of volunteers, and to the generosity of the people of Bristol in donating (and buying) books, it has gone from strength to strength. We are now an established part of the Bishopston scene, known as one of the best (and friendliest!) bookshops in the West of England.
As well as a huge and ever-changing stock of good quality secondhand books, we also sell audio books (tape and CD formats), vinyl albums and singles, CDs and DVDs. We recently added a selection of comics, graphic novels and manga.
Our books cover a range of topics and genres, including:
Fiction, Classics, History, Nature, Hobbies & Interests, Gender Studies, Music, Philosophy, Esoteric, Languages, Humour, Childrens, Travel, Sport, Self Improvement, Computing & more!
We rely on donations so if you have spare books in good condition, please bring them in.
