La Grotta is the only independent Italian restaurant in the heart of Bristol's busy shopping area. Family run for 31 years & counting. The location and cosy intimate decor make it an ideal stop for lunch or evening dinner. Sourcing the freshest ingredients, most of which are imported directly from Italy, to give you a true taste of Italian food.

Here at La Grotta emphasis is placed on sourcing the freshest ingredients with importance placed on produce from local suppliers. Authentic Italian ingredients are imported direct from the continent to give customers a real taste of Italy.

Large parties catered for, we cook everything fresh to order but for those in a hurry we offer a pre ordering service where we will have your food ready for your lunchtime or evening arrival, leaving you plenty of time to digest and relax before heading back to work or heading on to an evening theatre show.

At La Grotta we realise there are many sufferers of food intolerances, which is why we can cater for even the most delicate palate. We offer a vast array of gluten free and dairy free options, even vegan cheese is available as here at La Grotta; we love food and feel it’s important for everyone to be able to enjoy eating out.
