Bar Humbug has been the relaxed and friendly heart of Bristol’s Whiteladies Road for the last 18 years, so we must be doing something right!
The ethos is to keep things low-key, informal and welcoming, which is fundamentally down to our employees. Down to the last man and women, they all like working here and frankly, if we may say so, it shows.

The wines are well-sourced, there is an interesting and comprehensive array of spirits and the cocktails are superbly and elegantly presented. Alternatively, just sit and enjoy a cold beer - either way, we’re happy, but more importantly, we want to ensure you are too.

We are open from lunch right through to the late evening and in summer what could be better than watching the array of fascinating people as they stroll past, from one of the few sun terraces on the strip.
