Hydes Herbal Clinic’s, Serene Foster, Ruth A Austin and Amparo Aracil see patients from the very young to older generations with wide ranging health conditions. Patients come to us because they are looking for something that will work with their doctor’s medicine, or when all avenues have been tried by the doctor, a completely fresh approach.

We discuss your present symptoms and past medical history. We examine you, which might include taking blood pressure, listening to your lungs, checking your abdomen. After considering all aspects of your health and any Doctor’s medicines you may be taking, we prescribe an individualised medicine in a ‘made to measure approach’ designed to address your specific condition.

“In a prescription we may combine up to 20 different herbs, selected from the hundreds we stock, all of which have been used with patients throughout the clinics 105 years of practise. Leaves, flowers, roots, berries, and bark are used to make these medicines” says Serene. Each part of the plant has different chemical profiles and we make sure you have the correct one for your health condition Added to this we give dietary, lifestyle and practical health advice.

Hydes’ consultants are qualified Medical Scientists and Medical Immunologists as well as properly trained Medical Herbalists. Their knowledge and understanding of medicine and diagnosis of conditions, helps tremendously when getting the right prescription for their patients.
