Malcolm Donovan and Simon Newton are members of the Law Society's Mental Health Tribunal Panel and have many years experience in providing advice on and representation in all aspects of mental health law.

Donovan Newton solicitors hold a specialist quality mark awarded by the legal services commission for the provision of legal services in mental health.

We specialise only in mental health and incapacity law. We advise and help not only people who suffer from mental health problems themselves, but also those who may be indirectly affected, such as friends, relatives and those who care for the mentally ill.

Most importantly, we understand and recognise that a period of mental illness, personality disorder problems or learning disability will have a profound effect on those suffering from such problems. We have specialist skills, acquired from many years experience, which enable people to address and often to overcome these difficulties.

We approach each client as an individual, and since we are a small practice, we strive to ensure that each client's case is dealt with from start to finish by either Malcolm Donovan or Simon Newton.

Sometimes our clients require assistance with other legal problems, such as criminal or family issues, and we are able to refer such problems to other specialist firms with whom we have close relations, so that such issues can be dealt with appropriately. This ensures that our clients receive expert specialist advice when required.
