The accommodation is not exclusively for this group as other people requiring temporary accommodation can also be considered. There are 2 units that are suitable for couples.Description of service and supportThe scheme consists of 16 rooms with en-suite shower facilities. All rooms are fully furnished to a high standard, including the provision of bed linen. There are shared kitchens on each floor and a communal lounge on the ground floor. The building has 24 hour CCTV security surveillance and on-site laundry facilities. Karibu has 6 members of staff, staff are available between 9am and 8pm Monday to Friday with limited cover at the weekends. There is also an overnight concierge service 7 nights per week. We do not accept pets.Staff offer general advice, guidance and support based on individual needs. They can advise clients on benefit and welfare rights, budget and debt advice and signpost clients to appropriate services and agencies, including Tuntum Housings’ floating support service, Refugee Futures.After leaving Karibu the aim is for residents to secure their own tenancy, either council or private rented accommodation or move on to more supported accommodation. Tenants may be here longer than outlined due to the council housing shortage.Capacity and facilities
