Meadowhead School enjoys a well-deserved reputation for providing an excellent education for young people within a caring and supportive framework.Our students are recognised for their courtesy and good behaviour towards each other. This is a school where all are encouraged to be confident and to make a contribution but to respect and be tolerant of others at all times.

We have high expectations of ourselves and our students and encourage them to have high aspirations and participate fully in the life of the school. We always strive to help students achieve their full potential and have the qualifications, confidence and skills to progress beyond Meadowhead.

Our building opened in January 2007 and provides a fantastic learning environment with 'state of the art' facilities. Our curriculum is designed to support all children at all levels, to achieve to their best potential.

We are consistent at achieving 'best ever' exam results year after year and we are developing innovative ways to ensure children benefit from a personalised learning experience.

We specialise in the teaching of languages and have an outstanding track record with many national and international links and partnerships. We strongly encourage an outward looking perspective from all our students. We enjoy very productive partnerships with our feeder primary schools and we are striving to build on these excellent foundations.

We are committed to working with the community and through the Meadowhead Community Learning Trust we have active links with our feeder Primary schools, the Sheffield College, both universities in Sheffield and many national and local employers.

Our partnership with the college has enabled us to deliver on our promise of a Sixth Form at Meadowhead School. We currently teach 17 A level courses to over 200 students with results showing excellent achievement and progress. In recognition of this success the DfE has now classified us as an 11-18 school securing the future for our school based Sixth Form within the local community.

The school became an elective Academy in August 2012.
