General information

Before Hillside became the place we know today, it was originally a primary school, as is clear when you see the outside of the building. But with an idea imagined by Hillside founder Jeremy Morton and the help of many others, Hillside was turned into something more than just an old building. Office spaces and meeting rooms were developed and access was given to the community for events and more.

However even in the development of the building to how we know it today, the layout has been maintain, keeping the structure and set up that the school provided us with. The nursery is still a nursery and the commemorative crocodile mosaic is still in the garden and is well kept.

The idea behind Hillside was to build up the confidence of the Beeston community. Showing people that we are a community and a strong one at that!

Here at Hillside the focus is to assist and support start up businesses and individuals moving into self-employment by providing work spaces and mentoring to ensure success in the early stages of development. The center provides a community feel to make sure everyone within it feels at home, where experienced business people can share their experiences and expertise with others at similar stages in their careers.We believe that progress will be made through collaboration and support.

At Hillside the emphasis is on cooperation with like-minded entrepreneurs, and business people working side-by-side, we are the source of a great wealth of knowledge, resources and contacts.

Becoming part of the centre community is the first of many steps to help your business flourish. Through business to business support and help on-site, we can help you overcome the common problems facing start-up businesses and support you for as long as you need us!
The building and where it is situated will act as a beacon to the surrounding community, promoting a sense of economic dynamism and opportunity. Hillside will integrate businesses and the local community along with introducing an awareness of how entrepreneurs can support others, as well as be supported themselves.
