The award winning Thackray Medical Museum is a completely unique visitor attraction for all the family. Through nine interactive galleries we will take you on a journey of discovery to explore the incredible world of medicine.
Travel back in time to Victorian Leeds and wander the dirt and grime covered streets of 1842. Enter the frightening world of surgery before anaesthetics and explore the tools of the Victorian surgeon. Discover the innovations of modern surgery and find out how breakthroughs in science have changed all our lives for the better.
Don't miss our exciting family activities during the school holidays and our programme of special events which run throughout the year.
Open seven days a week from 10am-5pm. Late night opening until 8.30pm on the third Thursday of every month. Autism Friendly Quiet Morning the first Sunday of every month from 9.30am - 11am.
