General information

OnApp software removes the entry barriers to cloud, CDN and storage services. Why? To help service providers stay profitable and competitive, and to enable any company to take advantage of the latest developments in virtualization and cloud technology - without unnecessary tie-ins, complexity or cost.

Cloud services used to be complex, time-consuming and very expensive to build. OnApp Cloud was the first cloud platform to combine low entry costs and ease of use with a rich feature-set for providers, and enterprise-class scalability and resilience for customers and end users.

CDN services used to be extremely expensive to deploy and buy. OnApp CDN is a federated CDN platform that enables service providers to build CDNs that are profitable, global, and that offer low costs for end users.

Storage used to be incredibly complex and costly. OnApp Storage overcomes the price barriers of enterprise SANs, and the performance, reliability and support issues of cheaper alternatives, to introduce affordable high-performance storage for the first time.

A brief timeline ...
OnApp software is designed to be easy to deploy, easy to manage, feature-rich and affordable. We launched the first version of our cloud software in July 2010 after two years of development. OnApp Cloud is now the leading platform for cloud service providers, powering an estimated 1 in 3 public clouds around the world.

In August 2011 we launched our second major product line, OnApp CDN, bringing affordable, high-end CDN to service providers for the first time. With 59 PoPs (and growing) it's already more than twice the size of Amazon CloudFront.

In March 2012 we launched OnApp Storage, bringing the same benefits of low cost and high performance to the storage world.

OnApp is privately owned and funded, and has more than 100 staff at offices in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Our headquarters are in London, UK.
